Biotech North has become a member of the UN Global Compact.
The UN Global Compact consists of companies all over the world, which want to be leading stars in sustainability and social responsibility. Membership gives the company both a systematic framework for sustainability work and the world’s largest network in sustainability and business. As
UN Global Compact Norway and the innovation consultants Tinkr have joined forces to bring together companies in the region around the development of solutions that address the sustainability challenges in the Arctic. Chairman Jaran Rauø and Cluster Manager Line Kjelstrup participated in the first workshop and presented opportunities and challenges seen from our cluster and the company Marealis as a case. Through our membership in the Global Compact, we have also signed up for the further work of developing the solution platform and we hope that more of the Biotech North members will participate.
A solution platform is an arena for interdisciplinary collaboration among companies that want to address sustainability challenges – through developing new business models, solutions and scaling routes. Together with advisers in the innovation company Tinkr, we are invited to participate in the development of the platform. The goal is to contribute to the transformation we need to ensure a viable business community in the north – today and in the future.
Do you want to contribute to the development of the Arctic as a pioneering region in sustainable development and business?
Members of Biotech North receive a 50% discount on participation in the Arctic Sustainable Business Solution Platform depending on the size of the company.
