The Norwegian health clusters have the last couple of years worked to create a strong private capital offering together with DNB.
− At DNB, we are committed to make sure Norway succeeds with more entrepreneurs, growth companies and innovative ecosystems. We live in a time of economic uncertainty and believe it is more important than ever to create good meeting places between entrepreneurs and investors. That is why these meeting places – where ideas meet capital, are so important, says Torgrim Isaksen, Healthcare Industry Specialist at DNB.
In 2024 the collaboration between the health clusters and DNB resulted in regional conferences in Stavanger, Bergen, Trondheim, Tromsø and Oslo, culminated with the DNB NXT Healthcare in Oslo in December.
– The collaboration with clusters, incubators, business associations and others has been essential for us to succeed in holding events around Norway, says Isaksen.
− DNB is important for our ecosystem, because it gives our companies access to a bigger stage, which is crucial if Norway is to build health and life sciences as a global export, says Hanne Mette Dyrlie Kristensen, Vice President Investor relations, business development and collaboration at The Life Science Cluster.
Strong collaboration between the Norwegian health cluster on investor methodology
Over the last years, the health clusters have built a joint methodology for dialogues with investors, funded by Viken/Akershus County, and for Biotech North also funding from Troms County. It builds on elements from years of business development dialogues with large global pharma companies, but is further developed to meet the needs of investors. By strong collaboration between players in the value chain like academia, TTOs, incubators and clusters, we deliver a strong footprint. By working jointly, we get a strong positive feedback from all investors we meet. In the end, we are doing this for the companies in the pipeline, to increase each company’s chance of being visible for the right investor.
